
Position:
I'm transitioning from private practice to academia in 2026.
Career Highlights:
· Moved to the U.S. after a decade of private practice experience in my home country.
· Staying consistent in my academic endeavors earning a master's in Biomaterials, certificate in AEGD and finally a master's and certificate in Endodontics.
· Gaining experience as a faculty instructor, full-time dentist at a federally qualified health center, and as endodontist in corporate-owned private practices.
Why Endodontics:
Added to the satisfaction of saving the teeth and alleviating patients' pain, there's an intrigue factor inbuilt in the endodontic procedures that drew me like a magnet.
Best Piece of Career Advice:
Consistency, perseverance and endurance are the key points to success.
Endo Challenge:
Having had the experience of performing root canals for many years as a general dentist, getting used to working with the microscope was a challenge which I was able to overcome with the help of my clinic floor faculty members and lots and lots of practice.
Reason for Becoming an AAE member:
AAE is a one stop congregation of experts in endodontics where experience is shared and learned in a wide range.
Fun Fact:
Travel, photography and multicultural art and cuisine are some of the things I like to spend time on when not doing root canals :)
