Position:
I am an independent endodontist and the owner of Olympic Endo PLLC, providing compassionate and specialized endodontic care across multiple locations in Colorado.
Career Highlights:
- My professional journey began outside of dentistry—I spent a decade as a senior analytical chemist, leading teams in various pharmaceutical industries before discovering my passion for endodontics.
- Before entering dental school, while holding a full time pharmaceutical analytical chemist I also worked as a part time dental assistant for Dr. David Jones, an endodontist in Fort Collins. His kindness, exceptional clinical skills, and mentorship profoundly influenced me. Seeing how he cared for his patients and inspired others to pursue endodontics sparked my own path in the field.
- During dental school, I actively participated in leadership roles, including leading the endodontic club, which further solidified my passion for the specialty.
- After receiving my endodontic certificate, I founded Olympic Endo PLLC, committed to delivering high-quality care to diverse patient populations, including those with VA and HMO insurance, to ensure accessibility.
- I believe in giving back, whether through mentorship, leadership, or advancing our specialty, and I am proud to be involved with AAE to continue growing and contributing to our field.
Why Endodontics:
Endodontics combines science, precision, and the ability to make a real difference in people’s lives. However, what truly drew me in was the mentorship and inspiration I received from leaders in the field, like Dr. David Jones. His dedication to patient care and mentorship created a ripple effect, encouraging me and many others to pursue this path. Today, I aim to bring that same compassion, skill, and mentorship to my own practice.
Best Piece of Career Advice:
One of the best pieces of advice I received is: “Success isn’t about doing everything alone—it’s about surrounding yourself with people who help you thrive.” Whether it’s mentors, colleagues, or family, having the right support system makes all the difference.
Endo Challenge:
Balancing the clinical and business aspects of endodontics while maintaining my passion for patient care could have been a challenge—and my husband, Yousri Elmejdoubi is the driving force behind our shared vision, turning challenges into opportunities and ensuring that together, we can make a real impact. His dedication and leadership allow me to focus on what I love—helping patients—while he seamlessly manages everything behind the scenes. Our teamwork is what makes it all possible, proving that no challenge is too big when you have the right partner by your side. Together, we’re not just building a vision; we’re creating a space where patients and communities receive the care they deserve.
Reason for Becoming an AAE member:
I joined AAE because I believe in lifelong learning and the power of community. This profession is constantly evolving, and AAE provides an incredible platform for mentorship, collaboration, and growth.
Fun Fact:
I am one of the youngest track and field Olympians in history, competing in the 2000 Sydney Olympics at just 18 years old. I trained on rugged terrains in a war-torn country, determined to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina on the world stage. That experience instilled in me a deep sense of resilience, discipline, and purpose—qualities that continue to shape my journey in endodontics.
