Why Endodontics:
During dental school Endodontics caught my interest, but I became an enthusiast a couple of years after graduation while collaborating with some friends at their offices performing in-house Endodontics. The ability to relieve pain was rewarding especially after Endodontic training, also being able to preserve teeth following dental trauma.
Best Piece of Career Advice:
Be consistent, have a system to approach cases. Be empathetic with challenging patients, remember pain is anything the patient says is painful.
Endo Challenge:
Starting all over in a different country and language is similar to a long run; it requires patience, discipline, effort and perseverance, but also you have to enjoy the journey.
Reason for Becoming an AAE member:
Getting feedback and being able to learn from others’ perspectives is always interesting. It is also a way to build community to connect in the yearly events.
Fun Fact:
I enjoy swimming, hiking, some running and used to love cliff diving whenever allowed, it’s been a while! Going to the beach with family and friends or going out salsa dancing with my wife and friends is always a fun plan!
Community Question:
How much time once or twice a year would you volunteer / donate to a charity / mission? (Proper equipment available Digital X rays, Endo Motor, Rotary files, Obturation systems, core build up materials and so on)
